US-based tech startup Cognition has unveiled Devin, the world’s first AI software engineer. Devin has capabilities that enable it to write, debug, and deploy code with efficiency and precision.

Devin isn’t your average coding assistant. Equipped with its own shell, code editor, and web browser, Devin can independently manage the entire process of creating and releasing complete software applications.
Unlike other large language models (LLMs) such as Google’s Gemini or OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Devin operates autonomously, methodically breaking down software development tasks into manageable steps.
