On July 10, 2024, Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 along with the Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris.

Samsung claims the Galaxy Z Fold6 is the most durable Z series device yet, thanks to a new Dual Rail Hinge design that improves shock distribution and resistance to pressure and sharp objects.
The phone features armor aluminum for better scratch resistance and an IP48 rating for dust resistance.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 is thinner and lighter with a weight reduction to 239g (down from 253g) and a slight widening of the internal display by 2.7mm.
Available in three standard colors (Pink, Navy, and Silver Shadow) and two online exclusives (White and Crafted Black). The Crafted Black variant with its carbon-fiber-like back cover.
Translates and transcribes PDF content, overlaying the result on the original text including on graphics. Allows users to sketch over images to generate new visuals, useful for social media and creative projects.

A newly embedded transcript feature enables transcription, translation and summarizing of voice recordings directly in Notes.

The newly added Composer feature in Samsung Keyboard generates suggested text based on simple keywords for email and social media apps. It analyzes previous posts to create text that shows the user’s tone.

The Galaxy Z Flip6 features a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow that supports AI-assisted functions without opening the device.
Users can reply to texts with Suggested Replies, access Samsung Health updates and control music widgets directly from FlexWindow.
The FlexWindow also has more widgets and allows simultaneous checking of information from multiple widgets.
The AI-powered Photo Ambient feature changes the wallpaper in real-time based on time and weather. It analyzes the wallpaper to suggest screen layout options such as moving the clock and changing the frame color.
FlexCam on the Galaxy Z Flip6 provides a versatile camera experience with the new Auto Zoom feature. It automatically adjusts the frame by detecting the subject and zooming in and out.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 has new 50MP Wide and 12MP Ultra-wide sensors for clear and crisp photos. The 50MP sensor supports 2x optical zoom and AI zoom up to 10x.
The Nightography feature with video HDR allows for brilliant videos in dim lighting with night capturing available in-app on Instagram.
