Japan Picks Wim Wender’s Perfect Days for the 2024 Oscars

Japan’s selection of Wim Wender’s “Perfect Days” as its entry for the 2024 Oscar’s Best International Feature Category has turned heads and raised eyebrows. This delicate drama, set in Tokyo, explores the daily life of a middle-aged Japanese man, Hirayama, who works as a cleaner of toilets.
