Apple Launches HomePod Mini in New Midnight Color

Apple has unveiled a new version of its HomePod Mini smart speaker now available in a midnight color. This addition to the HomePod Mini lineup known for its compact design and powerful audio capabilities.

The HomePod Mini stands at just 3.3 inches tall. The new midnight color variant features an acoustically transparent mesh exterior made from 100 percent recycled mesh fabric, a step up from the previous 90 percent recycled material.

The speaker includes a backlit touch surface that illuminates from edge to edge.

The Speaker is available in yellow, orange, blue and white. The midnight color variant replaces the older space gray version.

The speaker provides room-filling audio through a single speaker and can be paired in stereo or used in multi-room audio setups.

Users have access to over 100 million songs through Apple Music enhancing the speaker’s appeal to music enthusiasts.

When paired with Apple TV 4K, the HomePod Mini can create a captivating home theater experience.

Siri, Apple’s intelligent assistant allows users to access a range of music-related information including searches by artist, song, lyrics, decade, genre, mood or activity.

Siri also provides hands-free control for managing everyday tasks and smart home devices.

Users can create automations for their smart home, receive notifications for smoke or carbon monoxide alarms, check temperature and humidity and use Intercom to send announcements throughout the house.

The hands-free operation of the HomePod Mini is eneficial for accessibility, allowing users with limited fine-motor skills to control their smart home devices and media.

The Intercom feature also offers accessibility benefits by allowing users to send home-wide messages which can be transcribed into text for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Full-range driver powered by a neodymium magnet. A pair of force-cancelling passive radiators for enhanced bass and crisp high frequencies.

The chip is powered by the Apple S5 chip which analyses music characteristics in real-time for optimized audio output.

Stereo Pairing can form a true wireless stereo setup with another HomePod mini for a surround sound experience.

The Multi-Room Audio supports streaming music or podcasts in multiple rooms when paired with additional HomePod minis.
