5. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
This game was never aiming to be the best final fantasy game out there, yet stranger of paradise receives a cult following after its ridiculous dialogues and cheesy story. This final fantasy spin-off didn’t reinvent the wheel for the franchise, but it does provide us with strong combat and final fantasy nostalgia along the way, destructoid gave it a score of 8.5/10 saving that “It’s a team ninja action game first in an oddball Isekai story, second it is weird but that’s how strange paradise lures new and old fans to the series and welcomes them with open arms for a crazy dose of chaos. The plot of the game is jack arrives in the kingdom of Cornelia, intent on destroying chaos whose darkness has begun to plague the world, and is quickly joined by two other warriors, Ash and Jed, who have a similar mission. They petition the king of Cornelia to allow them to enter the Shrine of Chaos and destroy chaos itself.

After skipping a year since the disaster that was 2K20, 2K22 is looking fairly decent for 2K standards, despite it’s frustrating shortcoming WWE 2k22 is a solid foundation for the series future, according to dual shockers, Callum Smith who gave the game a score of 7/10. It is still built for the wresting fans out there with a wide selection of customizable options for your favorite wrestlers, in-game purchases are still around and they are not holding back this time, be careful. In 2k22 my career was rebranded and focused on separate stories for both male and female wrestlers. Using created characters, players can form alliances, make enemies and branch into subplots based upon the players choices. Universe mode returned with several updates, including the ability to change camera angles while spectating matches.

2. Horizon Forbidden West
It’s hard not to appreciate guerilla game’s science fiction open world game, despite coming a few hours before Eldon ring, this was Sony’s hallmark and groundbreaking technology, it fully utilizes the PlayStation 5’s powerful hardware with little to no effort it’s the perfect console to play this game of the year contender. Forbidden west continues the story of Eloy but this time she is more adamant at solving the mystery of the world, it’s still teaming with mechanical wildlife and it’s lands are flourishing with flora and fauna even with its post-apocalyptic setting, it gained universal acclaim with many critics and users giving the game impressive scores. A hunter in a world populated by dangerous, animalistic machines, an open world she explores the mysteries frontier known as Forbidden West, a post-apocalyptic version of the western united states, specifically the states of California, Nevada, and Utah.

The Elden lord claims its throne from software’s ambitious open world fantasy project is the strongest contender for the game of the year, it broke all the foundations of the traditional open world genre turning the once familiar formula into a haven of danger and delights, it received more than just ,perfect scores, it is now dubbed by many critics and gamers as one of the best video games ever created, a review from apptrigger’s Matthew liebel said “Elden Ring is the next evolution of the “Souls” Genre, it feels both familiar and truly unique”. Its hard to over throw the throne, unless a certain demigod deems it worthy of a challenge, who knows. Elden Ring takes place in the lands between, a fictional landmass ruled over by several demigods. It was previously ruled over by the immortal queen Marika, who acted as keeper of the Elden Ring, a powerful force that manifest as the physical concept order.
