Honda took the stage at CES 2024 in Las Vegas to unveil its “0 Series” electric vehicle (EV) lineup. This announcement showed the Saloon and Space-Hub concept cars but also introduced a new brand identity, including a redesigned ‘H’ logo exclusively for its next-generation EV models.

The Honda 0 Series represents a journey for the Japanese automaker, embodying to innovation and redefining the EV industry.

Scheduled for global introduction in 2026, the series is set to debut in North America before making its way to Japan, Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and South America.

The Saloon stands as the flagship model of the 0 Series, featuring a Thin, Light, and Wise approach.
With its design, the Saloon has aerodynamic efficiency and a low-slung profile.

The exterior is characterized by a wedge-shaped nose, a digital panel housing the new ‘H’ logo, and gullwing doors that add a touch of extravagance.

Inside, the minimalist cabin offers a four-seat layout with a steer-by-wire system, where the yoke-style steering emerges from the dashboard.

The Saloon’s instrument panel features a human-machine interface (HMI) for intuitive operations. The Space-Hub complements the Saloon with its minivan-esque design.

Boasting a boxier silhouette, the Space-Hub features a spacious cabin with seating arrangements that encourage interaction among passengers.

While details about manufacturing plans for the Space-Hub remain scarce, Honda envisions it as a vehicle designed to augment people’s daily lives.

Honda’s announcement addressed a departure from the trend of thick, heavy electric vehicles in favor of a Thin, Light, and Wise approach.

This approach shows the aerodynamic performance, a lightweight EV platform for spirited driving experiences, and intelligent technologies showcasing Honda’s knowledge in carmaking.

The 0 Series will debut with advanced driver-assistive systems that leverage Honda’s Sensing Elite software.

Initial models in the lineup will feature Level 3 ADAS functionality, with hands-off driving capabilities in certain scenarios.

Honda plans to integrate AI for automated driving features, an evolution in the 0 Series lineup. Honda aims for improvements in battery technology, including fast charging from 15 to 80 percent in approximately 15 minutes.

The company targets a reduction in battery degradation to less than 10 percent over a 10-year period. Honda’s rollout plan involves launching the first 0 Series model based on the Saloon concept in North America in 2026.
