US Inauguration Day: Didn’t you love JLo and Lady Gaga’s hairstyles?

All the world’s eyes were on Washington DC yesterday, as Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th President of the United States at the US Capitol in Washington. And though the inauguration ceremony was scaled down owing to the pandemic, it certainly made for a beautiful function that also saw a good dose of Hollywood glamour in the way of Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga who performed there.
Elegant ensembles

Both singers made for a stunning look with their performances – Lady Gaga sang the US national anthem and Jlo took to the mic to sing ‘This Land Is Your Land’ and ‘America the Beautiful’. But their voices were not the only talking point, social media was afire over their well-chosen outfits for the prestigious event. JLo looked every bit elegant in her all-white ensemble – a tweed coat that she wore with matching white sequin wide-leg pants and a ruffled high-neck white silk blouse. She chose a beautiful pair of pearl and stone earrings to go with it. And Lady Gaga rocked a navy blue structured fitted jacket with a silk ballgown skirt in a contrasting red hue. Her jacket had a gold chest brooch of a dove holding an olive branch in its beak, which made fans draw references Katniss Everdeen’s golden badge in the movie, ‘Hunger Games’.

Gorgeous hairstyles
Gaga’s braided hairstyle was just as hot – she wore a black ribbon through her platinum blond hair and at the back of her head, were two red flowers near the nape of the neck which matched her skirt. And Lopez wore her chestnut brown hair in a sleek half-updo style, with her long hair down her back. She teamed it with blingy earrings and pearl bracelets. Her makeup was her signature style – smoky eyes with shimmer shadow, mascara, a glossy nude lip colour and contoured cheeks.
