Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Nandigram Suvendu Adhikari has written to the Election Commission of India (ECI), seeking suspension of Haldia SP and other officers from Nandigram police station for helping Trinamool Congress’s malpractices during the phase 1 polling in West Bengal.
Suvendu Adhikari has demanded the suspension of Addl SP Partha Ghosh, Haldia SDPO Barunbaidya and some other officers of Nandigram police station “for helping TMC members in carrying out malpractices and irregularities during polls”.
His brother Soumendu Adhikari said the party has approached the Election Commission demanding free and fair polls. “People will choose whom they want. TMC is scared. We’ve given the name of one Alauddin to EC, he creates disturbance there,” Soumendu Adhikari said.
