The flight carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members departed from Heathrow Airport in London on Monday at 10:38 PM UK time.
Due to the turbulence, the aircraft diverted to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport, where it landed at 3:45 PM local time on Tuesday.
Singapore Airlines confirmed one fatality and undisclosed injuries among the passengers and crew. Sky News reports suggest as many as 30 people may have been injured with local media hinting at the possibility of two fatalities.
