Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S10+, the company’s first tablets purpose-built for artificial intelligence.

Samsung has opted to eliminate the smaller 11-inch model. The 2024 lineup includes only two devices, Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ with a 12.4-inch display. Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra with 14.6-inch display.
For the first time Samsung has equipped its Galaxy Tab S series with a MediaTek processor, the Dimensity 9300+. This is a shift from the previous use of Qualcomm Snapdragon and Exynos chips. The Dimensity 9300+ chip is fabricated using a third-generation 4nm process by TSMC.
The CPU Configuration Includes:
- One Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.4GHz.
- Three Cortex-X4 cores running at 2.85GHz.
- Four Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.
The GPU is an ARM Immortalis-G720.
Samsung claims, 18% faster CPU performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. 28% faster GPU performance. 14% faster NPU performance.
Both the Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra feature a base configuration of 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Users have the option to expand storage using a microSD card, up to 1.5TB.
For the Ultra model, there is also a variant offering 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The use of microSD cards provides flexibility.
Both tablets are constructed using Armor Aluminum for durability. The new tablets are slightly thinner and lighter than their Tab S9 counterparts, being 0.1mm thinner and approximately 15g lighter. IP68 certification ensures resistance to dust and water.
The Galaxy Tab S10+ features a 12.4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels. The larger Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra boasts a 14.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels.
Both displays support 120Hz refresh rates and come with anti-reflection coating. These are Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels, offering rich colors, deep blacks and excellent contrast ratios.
The rear camera setup on both models includes a 13MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, the Tab S10 Ultra has a dual-camera system, a 12MP wide and a 12MP ultra-wide.
These are housed in a notch, making them ideal for video calls and content creation. The Tab S10+ has a single 12MP front camera positioned within the bezel.
The Tab S10 Ultra features a 11,200mAh battery, while the Tab S10+ is powered by a 10,090mAh battery. Both models support 45W fast charging.
Both the Wi-Fi and 5G versions of the tablets are available. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra supports sub-6GHz 5G and Wi-Fi 7.
On the other hand, the Tab S10+ offers both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G but is limited to Wi-Fi 6E. The inclusion of mmWave will vary by region, depending on carrier support.
Both devices come with Android 14 and Samsung’s One UI skin. Samsung has integrated several AI features to enhance user productivity and creativity. Galaxy AI Assistant is now accessible through the S Pen, which can invoke Air Command.
Both the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra come with the S Pen included in the box. The S Pen has been enhanced with AI integration. The tablets also support Samsung’s keyboard cover.
These tablets can double as Galaxy Home AI devices enabling smart home management. With SmartThings integration, users can create 3D Map Views of their homes to control smart devices intuitively. The large displays make these tablets ideal for use as home hubs.

Pre-orders for both models are now open and the tablets will be available from October 3, 2024. Pricing starts at $1,000 for the Galaxy Tab S10+ and $1,200 for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Both models are available in two color options, Moonstone Gray and Platinum Silver. Samsung is offering up to $800 in trade-in value.
A new Galaxy AI Key on the Book Cover Keyboard allows users to easily access the AI assistant with written prompts, providing quick responses and seamless integration into workflows.
Users can customize their AI assistant experience, choosing between Samsung’s Bixby or Google’s Gemini depending on their preference.
With Note Assist, users can automate transcriptions and summaries, streamlining note-taking for schoolwork, meetings or journaling. This AI feature automatically tidies up untidy handwriting, making notes more legible and organized.
Users can translate PDF documents with an on-screen overlay, a feature especially useful for professionals or students working with multilingual content.
With Sketch to Image, users can transform rough sketches into themed images using generative AI, making the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra an ideal tool for designers and creators.
The S Pen supports Air Command, which provides instant access to AI Assistant features without the need to toggle between different menus.
Users can activate the AI assistant directly from the S Pen, enabling quick responses and commands for a more fluid workflow.
This feature allows users to search the web without switching between apps. By circling a part of an image, video or text, users can get instant translations or search results in two taps.
The Galaxy Tab S10 series doubles as a home AI device integrating with Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem.
With the 3D Map View, users can get a visual overview of all their connected devices, monitor their status and manage energy consumption through SmartThings Energy and AI Energy Mode.
The Galaxy Tab S10 series expands Samsung’s third-party app ecosystem, ensuring compatibility with apps across various fields such as note-taking, design and video editing.
Goodnotes, Noteshelf 3, Clip Studio Paint, Picsart and Sketchbook. these apps make the most of the Galaxy Tab S10’s powerful AI and creative capabilities.
This app allows users to easily edit videos, control speeds and add visual effects, transforming the Galaxy Tab S10 into a professional content creation tool.
