Neena Gupta shares old pic from Utsav with Shankar Nag, says you left us too soon

Neena Gupta shared a vintage photo from her 1984 film, Utsav, with Shankar Nag. She wrote that she misses the late actor.

Neena Gupta has been reminiscing the bygone years. She recently took to Instagram to share a throwback picture from her 1984 film Utsav. Directed by Girish Karnad, the film also starred Shankar Nag, who died at the age of 35 in 1990 in a car crash. Remembering him, Neena wrote that she misses the late actor and that he left too soon.

Neena Gupta, who has shared many chapters of her life in her autobiography, Sach Kahun Toh, recalled her Utsav days in her latest Instagram post.The film based on the play Mrichakatika (The Little Clay Cart), also starred Rekha, Shekhar Suman, Shashi Kapoor and Amjad Khan, among others.

Posting a throwback picture with Shankar Nag, Neena Gupta wrote, “A still from a beautiful film utsav with shankar nag miss you so much shankar bohat jaldi chod gaye tum hamen (sic).” It translates to ‘you left us too soon’.

NEENA GUPTA’S THROWBACK PIC WITH SHEKHAR KAPUR FROM KHANDAAN

Neena Gupta loves going through her photo album and digging out priceless pictures from her initial years in the entertainment industry. A couple of days ago, she shared a rare throwback picture with director Shekhar Kapoor from the sets of the television series, Khandaan. She captioned the black-and-white photo, “Uff memories …..with shekhar kapoor in khandaan series in 1985 (sic).”

WHAT’S ON THE WORK FRONT?

Neena Gupta was last seen in Sardar Ka Grandson, which is streaming on Netflix. The film also starred Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. Neena has the second season of Masaba Masaba in the pipeline. The veteran actress will star with her fashion designer daughter Masaba Gupta in the biographical drama series.
