New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has teased its upcoming SUV XUV700 again, displaying a smart door handle feature.
As per the teaser video, the smart door handle features a sleek bar that is integrated into the body panel, unlike the conventional door handle.
Claiming this to be the first-in-class feature in the country, the automaker displayed the smart door handlebar with a sensor on it. It is claimed that when the door handle is touched or the car is unlocked, the door handle automatically pops out. Similarly, the bar goes back when locked.
Prior to smart door handle feature, XUV700 also offers the segment’s largest skyroof measuring 1360 mm in length and 870 mm in width and auto booster headlamps which activate as soon as the XUV700 surpasses the speed limit of 80kmph in the dark.
Mahindra’s new XUV700 is scheduled to be launched in India in Q2 FY22 and likely to compete with other three-row SUV rivals, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus.
The upcoming Mahindra XUV700 is part of the automaker’s plan to introduce nine new cars in India by 2026. The list also includes the upcoming new-gen Scorpio, all-new Bolero, and the longer version of the Thar.
