West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard grabbed all the attention in the international cricket circuit as he smashed 6 sixes in an over during the first T20I against Sri Lanka in Antigua.
He became only the second batsman in the history of T20Is to achieve this feat. India’s Yuvraj Singh was the first ever to do so during the 2007 T20 World Cup clash against England. The Indian all-rounder had slammed Stuart Broad for 36 runs in an over in a group match.
The West Indies captain, slammed the 6 sixes off Akila Dananjaya – who interestingly had taken a hat-trick in the same match, having dismissed Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle and Nicholas Pooran.
Pollard hit the 6 sixes in the sixth over of the matchmaking sure to keep his side afloat. He was eventually dismissed on 38 off 11 deliveries.
