International oil prices hit highest level in a year

Brent, the international oil benchmark, on Friday jumped over 1% to hit the highest level in a year. The Brent inched closer to the $60 a barrel mark over supply curbs by producer group OPEC and its allies. Moreover, progress in US President Joe Biden’s plan to enact a $1.9 trillion coronavirus aid bill also supported oil prices.
