Healthcare workers in Myanmar start anti-coup protests

Healthcare workers across Myanmar have started a civil disobedience protest against Monday’s military coup amid a steady rise in COVID-19 cases. Medical workers wore red ribbons and declared that they won’t work for the new military government, with some staff going on strike. Healthcare workers working in government hospitals and facilities had also issued a statement earlier opposing the coup.
