The beneficiaries could not fix appointments for the jab on the portal due to a lack of vaccine stock in the state.
With only 6.37 lakh vaccine stocks in the state, the Centre on Wednesday refused to give a nod for the vaccination drive for the 18+ group in Assam, TOI reported.
“The government of India did not allow us to go ahead with the vaccination of the 18-44 age people with such a limited stock of vaccines. Only the registration was allowed,” the newspaper quoted director of health services (family welfare), Assam, Munindra Nath Ngatey as saying.
