Anushka Sharma puts her favorite maternity clothes for charity sale

Anushka Sharma has launched an initiative to support maternal health. She has put some of her maternity clothes for online sale and the proceeds would be donated towards the cause.

Anushka Sharma set major maternity fashion goals with her rare appearances while she was pregnant with her daughter Vamika. Now, she has decided to use those clothes for a good cause. The actress has launched an initiative to sell them online and the proceeds would go towards raising awareness about maternal health.

Anushka Sharma, who welcomed her first child, Vamika, with her husband Virat Kohli in January, shared a video on Instagram recently to announce her charitable initiative. She wrote, “I’m thrilled to launch my new initiative, through which I’ve shared some of my favorite maternity wear for an online charity sale, with proceeds supporting maternal health through @snehamumbai_official (sic).”

She added, “Fun fact: if even just 1% of pregnant women in urban India bought 1 piece of maternity clothing preloved over newly manufactured, EACH YEAR we can conservatively save about as much water as a person drinks in over 200 years (sic)!!”

A couple of days ago, Anushka Sharma posted some selfies on Instagram flaunting her new haircut. She also addressed the issue of postpartum hair loss and thanked Sonam Kapoor for getting her in touch with a talented hairdresser.

She wrote, “When post baby hair fall makes you appreciate a good haircut even more. Thank you @georgenorthwood for this You are FAB!! And @sonamkapoor for connecting us (sic).

Anushka Sharma was last seen in 2018 film Zero alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She owns a production company, Clean Slate Filmz, with her brother Karnesh Sharma. Together they have produced Pataal Lok for Amazon Prime Video and Bulbbul for Netflix last year. Both the projects received much success.
