Virat Kohli, currently in quarantine, decided to use his downtime to answer some fan questions on Instagram. However, his chat session got interrupted by his wife Anushka Sharma, who had a question of her own: “Where have you kept my headphones?” Replying to her, he said, “Always on the side table next to the bed love,” and added grin and heart emojis.
One fan asked Virat what he does in his free time, to which the cricketer replied, “Relax and watch some nice TV shows with Anushka.” He also addressed a question about their daughter, Vamika, who was born in January this year.
A fan asked Virat, “What is the meaning of Vamika? How is she? Can we see a glimpse of her please?” The cricketer replied, “Vamika is another name for goddess Durga. No, we have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice.”
Virat and Anushka met during the shoot of a shampoo commercial in 2013 and started dating soon afterwards. They got married in December 2017 and welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika, in January.
Earlier this month, Virat and Anushka launched a fundraiser for Covid-19 relief. While their original target was ₹7 crore, they raised the amount to ₹11 crore after many came forward to contribute. They donated ₹2 crore to the cause themselves.
Anushka took a sabbatical from films after having four releases in 2018 – Pari, Sanju, Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and Zero. While she is yet to announce her next project as an actor, she has had her hands full as a producer. Last year, she produced the Amazon Prime Video series Paatal Lok and Netflix original film Bulbbul, under her banner Clean Slate Filmz.
