Volvo Cars set an ambitious target in 2021 to become a fully electric car manufacturer by 2030. This new target includes a mix of fully electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles with a small allowance (0-10%) for mild hybrids, if necessary.

On Sunday, September 1, 2024, Rebecca Cheptegei was attacked by her boyfriend identified as Dickson Ndiema Marangach, at her home in Endebess located in the western region of Kenya’s Trans-Nzoia County. Marangach reportedly poured petrol on Cheptegei and set her on fire.
The shooting took place at Apalachee High School, which has around 1,900 students. Four individuals were killed including two students and two teachers. Nine people were injured with eight students and one teacher receiving treatment for their wounds.
